Copper + Eggplant Wedding: Pocketfold Invitations

For our wedding, my husband and I wanted a color scheme and theme that reflected the fall season but wasn't typical (browns, oranges, reds, yellows...leaves, acorns, pumpkins).  We ended up choosing copper and eggplant as our main colors and injected small splashes of "happy" autumn colors- turquoise, chartreuse, and bright red and amber.  Repeating tree and bird motifs in our stationery and decor reflected our outdoor ceremony.  You can check out more of our wedding details as featured in Real Weddings on The Knot.


When it came to our invitations, I knew I wanted pocketfold style invites.  We had lots of out-of-town guests and lots of information about our non-traditional celebration, so we knew invites that contained a pocket to hold all of the necessary info would be perfect.  Below are photos of our invitations, as well as all of the inserts that were included with them.  Every item in our stationery suite was designed, printed, and assembled in-house.  Some of the touches that we included:  hand stamping on the invitation panel and on the pocket of the folder, illustrated maps of the ceremony and reception locations, personalized response cards for each guest, and wrap-around address labels.
